Title: Mostly okay with a few pros and cons
Content: My husband has been sleeping on this pillow for nearly two weeks now, and he's still on the fence as to what he thinks of it. He used a contoured memory foam pillow from Sleep Number for many years, wore it out, but the style is discontinued. For a year or two since retiring that one, he's been using a pillow with loose fill made from memory foam chunks. This pillow arrived vacuum-packed for more compact shipping. We gave it a day or two to fully expand before trying it, though a few hours would probably suffice. There was little to no chemical smell. One thing that surprised us was the size. The description says 'queen' size, which we took at face value without looking more closely at the dimensions. The pillow is way longer than a normal queen pillow - it sticks out at least 4-5 inches beyond the end of our pillowcases, let alone our allergy-resistant inner under-cases. The pillow is rigid and stiff enough that there's absolutely no way to shove or squeeze it into the cases, the way you might be able to do with a softer, squashier pillow. Overall? He doesn't hate it, but he's not sure he loves it, either. He used to layer both of his previous pillows on top of a second, slim but firm pillow, to get the right total depth for his broad shoulders. This one, he keeps taking the second pillow out, adding it back in, can't quite get it right. He's mostly a side sleeper, and some mornings his neck has felt great, other mornings it's been fairly stiff. Though he's not convinced yet that this is the dream pillow for him, I will say that the quality seems excellent, both inside and out. I think it's really well made, from good materials, and it should hold up well over time from what I can see. Still on the fence as to whether it's his ideal pillow or not, but it's definitely well made.
