Title: Ravishingly Good!!
Content: I am absolutely happy with my purchase of this book... everything that any cook would wish to have. I would rank it as one of my top favourites so far.... and I have quite a few cookbooks. The layout is superb: with a recipe and picture for each alongside. The recipes have been given interesting and quite unique twists and have an international flavour. The author also takes you into his world and experiences with a genuine flair for writing. All in all, totally ravishing.

Title: Highly Recommended
Content: I bought this book on a recommendation and it delivers everything I was promised and more. Rarely do I want to try every single recipe in a book, but Comfort is packed full of recipes I can't wait to make. Not only that, it's beautifully photographed and written. I'm sorely disappointed with myself for not discovering this book sooner. Now that I do, I'll be gifting it to all the foodies in my life. 10/10 highly recommended.

Title: Fab recipes
Content: Beautiful recipes and a gorgeous book to curl up with. I would definitely recommend you buy this if you love collecting cookbooks. Recipes include Indian shepherds pie with sag aloo top, Korean bbq popcorn chicken, Spanish beef mince with cauliflower cheese. Each recipe has a photo which is just what you want. My only criticism and reason for giving only 4 stars is the size of the font, it’s just a tad on the small side meaning that you have to hold the book just a little closer and that is frustrating when you are trying to cook with the book open. It would have been such a simple fix, but please don’t let it stop you buying the book, it’s fab.

Title: I feel soothed already!
Content: Thrilled to get my hands on John’s latest book, not only does it look amazing, every recipe I just know is going to be delicious. In the world full of clean and quite frankly dull eating, it’s wonderful to get a book jammed full of sumptuous recipes that actually have flavour, and indulgence! The ‘something cheesy’ chapter is my initial fav- caramelised shallot, honey and Roquefort cornbread on the menu tonight, or do I go for Tartiflette pizza?! Too much yumminess to choose from. Knowing John’s cooking and other recipes I just know this book will be out in the kitchen all Autumn and Winter. A must have for those in ‘pursuit for something tender or sticky, or something gooey and molten’

Title: Amusingly and humbly written with gorgeously tasty recipes. Nice photographs too.
Content: As ever John produces a fabulous book - and this is the best - exquisitely designed and such a high quality production. John's recipes are so straightforward and exciting and innovative - try the Guinness and Blackberry Beef stew - gorgeous - dull it is not! Nor are any of the others that I have tried thus far, John's little interludes are chatty, entertaining and show what a humble guy he is - humble and funny and self-deprecating - John doesn't thrust his ego at you! I am thrilled to own this book from a talented man and I know that this book will always have a place at the front of my bookshelf.

Title: Delicious Comfort
Content: Fabulous! When I first bought this book, I though it read like the menu from an eatery you would go to when in need of comfort food. The bonus here being you can make them anytime at home. I have so many recipes bookmarked, have made four recipes from the book so far, crab and siracha mac’n’cheese (toned down spice a little because two of us in my house are not chilli nuts), pear, blue cheese and walnut risotto, fish pie potato skins and BLT Italian style. All have been lovely to eat and very comforting, going to cook my way through this one for a good while yet 🙂
