Content: I was hesiant about buying this stapler as it was a brand I hadn't heard of, most likely a Chinese company. However, I needed a stapler which would do one inch staples to tack down the Rubberific tiles which required the longer ones. The tool came quick with 1000 staples included. It included 2 batteries and a charger which I immediately hooked up, wanting to see if it would do the job for me. The tool was heavy and seemed to be well made. The instructions were adequate and soon I was stapling the tiles down. Wow! It certainly handled the work quickly and with authority, putting the staples deep. I was very impressed and got the whole job finished with just one battery charge. In summary, I feel the stapler is a welcome addition to my tool box and would certainly buy it again.
Title: This is an awesome nailer / stapler!
Content: I have the DeWalt 18 gauge brad nailer, but it won't shoot staples. I went to use my pneumatic nailer / stapler the other day and it had broken. The little safety mechanism wouldn't depress all the way in. so the gun wouldn't fire. I went online to buy a new pneumatic nailer / stapler and saw this. I have two other Kimo tools. The 1/2" impact and the 3/8" ratchet. They are both very good, reliable tools, so I went ahead and bought this too. After setting it up I am very impressed with it! My DeWalt uses angled 18 gauge brad nails that are a little harder to find than the straight ones and a little more expensive. The DeWalt also will not fire staples. Just brad nails. This Kimo uses the more common straight brad nails and standard 18 gauge staples and it functions better than the Dewalt too. The DeWalt takes longer to "spin up" than this Kimo does, and its louder than the Kimo. Both the DeWalt and the Kimo have a built-in soft tip, that you can't lose. That's nice. A friend of mine has a porter cable that uses little replaceable plastic soft tips. he is always losing them and they are not cheap to replace. The Kimo's is built in and cannot be lost. That's a big bonus. When you are installing cabinets with a fine paint job on them, losing the dang soft tip is very annoying. I am thinking of selling my DeWalt and just using this Kimo for everything. Kimo tools are great. They are offered at great prices and I have never experienced a quality issue with any of them. I am a Kimo fan now with three of their tools in my arsenal.
Title: Overall GREAT product
Content: Overall I am so far pleased with this tool. The gun is a little heavy and it would be nice if that center of weight could be better balanced. I quickly took it out for a test. Both the brads/ nails and staples loaded easily. I shot a few brads and staples into some old wood I had lying around outside. No problems at all. I changed the mode to contact firing and shot a few more of each. Again no issues. Both the brads and staples were recessed just right with the adjustment about half. If I have to be disappointed about something, it would be the bag that was included. Flat out, the gun does not fit very well. Personally, I think a plastic case would be a better option.
Title: Very easy to load and use even if a bit heavy for one handed operation.
Content: I am a 66 yr old female. This is a bit heavy for me to use one handed, but that being said, this allows me to complete small jobs and projects on my homestead on my own without having to hire someone to do them. I rigged up a mini scaffold to hold things while I held and used the Kimo two handed. It has so many safety features you would have to purposely staple or nail yourself. The LED light grip is nice a but comes on with me just carrying it due to the light grip placement. The Brad gun trigger is up high enough you don't accidentally fire. It never jammed and is simple to load and use. This is a game changer for us older gals who want to DIY for a while longer.
Title: Unit not working and email support has repeatedly asked for more video/photo
Content: The media could not be loaded. After reading the mostly positive reviews of this nailer, I decided to purchase for indoor projects, mainly new shoe/trim in a few rooms. I had not opened the box until I gathered all necessary materials to do all projects so unfortunately I was past the 30 day return window on this product - otherwise I definitely would have sent it back. This is a beyond frustrating problem. Fully charged battery, inserted supplied nails - does not fire, with "no nail" green light constantly illuminated. Oddly enough I go outside to see if for some reason the angle that I was using it was getting in the way, and it fired three nails. I return inside, no dice. Okay, so I try firing a nail on a flat surface inside, still no - green light "no nail" remains on. I start noticing that as soon as I cross the outside door threshold the light turns off and can fire a nail. Maddening! After going back and forth several times, and opening the head and making sure there isn't a jam, recharging batteries - I give up. The video attached is the most bizarre issue I've had with a tool ever. After 5 test nails outside it no longer fires at all regardless of location. Is this a lemon? I've seen some other reviews mentioning not firing issues and that customer support was able to replace the product with a functioning one, so I emailed them and have now recieved an email 2x asking for a video/photo of the problem. After sending this video and a similar thorough description of the issue, it feels like I'm going around in circles with customer support. Please reach out and correct this issue, I feel like this was a total waste of money to this point. I got a lemon.
